What’s the recommended lead time for placing an order?
To ensure we can whip up your order to perfection, we recommend placing it at least 3 days in advance. This gives us time to sprinkle in all the care and attention your treats deserve.
For our show-stopping big kuchen/cake, we kindly request a lead time of 6-10 days. This allows us to gather the freshest ingredients and add a dash of detail to every layer. Your patience will be rewarded with a truly scrumptious delight!

Do you deliver or offer delivery services?
We’re currently unable to offer home delivery. Please visit our Markets & Events page to find out where you can enjoy our traditional German baking.Sure thing!
Absolutely, we’ve got your delivery needs covered! No need to mess with those fancy-schmancy platforms like Uber Eats or DoorDash. We’ve got our own super cool delivery service that’s way more affordable. Wave goodbye to those crazy fees and say hello to convenience without breaking the bank!

What ingredients do you use?
We’re all about using top-notch ingredients in our baking! No additives here, just the good stuff. And the best part? We hand-pick most of our ingredients right here on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Our secret to great baking lies in those carefully chosen goodies that you won’t find in your average store-bought bread.
And for that extra touch of magic, we do use some special ingredients straight from Germany because they’re not available in Canada yet! So, when you bite into our treats, you know you’re getting something truly special.
Do you have a brick and mortar location?
UPDATE Oct. 2026:
Not yet! We’re a small, family-run bakery based in Victoria, sharing our traditional German baking through local markets, pop-ups, and selected pickup locations.
As participants in the City of Victoria’s Launch Victoria program, we’re working towards a permanent home for BRETZEL. We’re aiming to open between April and June 2027, depending on finding the right space and completing the necessary preparations.

Do you offer vegan or gluten free treats?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer vegan or gluten-free treats.
But don’t worry, there are some amazing shops in and around Victoria that specialize in those kinds of baking goods.
We believe in leaving it to the experts when it comes to meeting those dietary needs. So, be sure to check out those specialty shops for your vegan and gluten-free treat cravings!
